The First Court of Appeals is located in Houston, Texas.  The Court consists of nine justices who hear appeals and original proceedings from ten counties:  Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Waller, and Washington.
